FAU Fall Program List (Pre Vet Medical Association)

The Pre-Veterinary Medical Association (PVMA) is an on-campus club at FAU whose purpose is to act as an organizational forum for students interested in careers in veterinary medicine. The many objectives of the PVMA are to stimulate interest in diverse fields of veterinary medicine, to provide members with information regarding veterinary college requirements, to provide mentoring programs with area practitioners, and to develop community volunteer and educational opportunities that promote civic responsibility and leadership. You can learn about some of the many programs and projects we have been working on to support people and pets in our community by clicking on the link below:

FAU Ink & Toner Recycling Program

The money we raise this year will support The American Heart Association, The American Cancer Society, The Pet Project of Broward County, Horses and the Handicapped of South Florida, Folke Peterson Wildlife Center, Florida Humane Society, the new Gumbo Limbo Sea Turtle Hospital, and VetDogs K-9 Corp. We also hope to utilize a small portion of the funds raised to support our Wildlife Workshop at Jungle Island in Miami each January, sponsorships to attend the 2010 APVMA National Symposium in Indiana, and sponsorships to attend a spay/neuter clinic for stray cats titled "Operation Catnip" at the University of Florida in the spring.
